Where Quality Counts

Ross Machine Shop is a locally owned business that opened its doors on October 15, 1983. We deemed our slogan “Where Quality Counts” shortly after that. The name Ross Machine Shop was chosen because of its location in Ross Industrial Park. The business was started with 1 bay at 1123 Weaver Street, Regina SK. The bay was 2000 square feet and we had two lathes, a milling machine and a couple other miscellaneous machines.

After five years of business we were able to start expanding and bought a second bay. By our tenth year of business we had grown to a total of 7 employees. After 21 years Ross Machine Shop had a total of 6 bays on Weaver Street and about 35 employees. We were running out of space, electricity and parking! We started searching for a new building and purchased our current location 40 Kress Street, Regina SK in 2002. The new building gave us 30,000 square feet of space which allowed us to move Armour Steel Fabricators under the same roof. Armour Steel Fabricators is a locally owned company that offers a variety of welding and fabricating services.

In 2013 we celebrated 30 years in business! At that point we employed 44 people and had 17 lathes and 12 milling machines as well as an extensive industrial mechanic bay. Currently in 2015 we employ 55 people, we have expanded our equipment and size capacity to accommodate more types of work. Ross Machine Shop believes in providing a safe work environment. We recently received our COR (Certificate of Recognition) for our health and safety program and we have also received a Certificate of Achievement from WCB.

We believe the success of our company is directly related to our team of management, machinists, millwrights and support staff and their commitment to provide our customers with quality services and a quality product!
